BOSTON, September 12, 2018Perfecto, the leading continuous testing and monitoring platform for optimizing DevOps pipelines, today announced that it will release its second book, Continuous Testing for DevOps Professionals, next week at Jenkins World | DevOps World in San Francisco, CA. Continuous Testing for DevOps Professionals demonstrates Perfecto’s commitment to supporting DevOps teams with the education and resources they need to achieve continuous testing. Perfecto’s Continuous Quality Lab provides test and dev teams with a single cloud-based platform for web and mobile CT. The most advanced platform of its kind, the Perfecto Lab supports all the leading cross-browser testing frameworks, progressive web apps (PWAs), Amazon Fire TV and native mobile app development and testing solutions, with a complete reporting and analytics solution for fast feedback throughout the entire DevOps pipeline.

“CT plays a critical role in maturing DevOps cultures,” said Eran Kinsbruner, Director, Lead Software Evangelist at Perfecto, author and the driving force behind the book.

Continuous Testing for DevOps Professionals expands on the fundamentals of our first book, offering DevOps teams and their leaders in-depth guidance from industry experts on testing challenges, as well as preparing them for the future of testing.”

Continuous Testing for DevOps Professionals: Today’s Guide for CT

Continuous Testing for DevOps Professionals provides best practices for DevOps teams to implement solutions, eliminate bottlenecks and drive mature DevOps activities. Presented in four sections, the book offers innovative perspectives on:

  1. Fundamentals of Continuous Testing – Features the definition of CT and best practices for planning, analyzing, measuring and orchestration of quality activities throughout the DevOps pipeline.
  2. Continuous Testing for Web Apps – Dedicated to CT for web applications, including responsive web (RWD), PWAs, headless browsers, accessibility testing 101, Gauge BDD framework, and more.
  3. Continuous Testing for Mobile Apps – Focused on advanced testing of mobile native apps with Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, with a practical guide to testing complex React Native apps using Appium and more.
  4. The Future of Continuous Testing – Discussion of advanced topics including machine learning and artificial intelligence, IoT and OTT, and their roles in enhancing traditional testing practices.

“Continuous testing helps organizations control risk in light of the increased complexity and speed of modern application delivery,” said Wolfgang Platz, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Tricentis and book contributor. “To help organizations achieve CT, and leverage it for future success, it is imperative that CT vendors work collaboratively to help educate and support teams as they move to continuous testing. We’re proud to have this opportunity to work with Perfecto and other thought leaders in our market to do just that.”

“Software is changing constantly and to keep pace, DevOps teams require not only the right tools and resources, but also guidance on how to use them effectively and get the most from their investments,” said Brad Johnson, Vice President of Product Marketing at CloudBees and book contributor. “We are honored to be part of Continuous Testing for DevOps Professionals and pleased that Perfecto is launching it at Jenkins World | DevOps World, where it will be directly in front of the DevOps and Jenkins communities.”

Perfecto will be exhibiting at Jenkins World | DevOps World at booth #124, providing demos of its CT platform and opportunities to win free copies of Continuous Testing for DevOps Professionals. Perfecto will host a book signing event at the show on Monday, September 17, at 6:00 p.m. in the DevOps Theater.
