Tel Aviv, Israel, October 20, 2008 - Perfecto Mobile, a provider of remote access and automated testing solutions for mobile devices, will launch a remote development and testing service for BlackBerry® developers as part of its sponsorship at the BlackBerry Developer Conference in Santa Clara on October 20-22, 2008.
The Perfecto Mobile service will enable the BlackBerry developer community to test software on live BlackBerry® smartphones using an Internet based service. The Perfecto Mobile service will enable developers to thoroughly test their mobile products and services with the end result of better quality products delivered in a shorter time to market and at a lower overall cost.
Additionally, the service will offer the BlackBerry developer community Cross-Device Automated Solutions, which are designed to support development and testing processes. With Automated Solutions, users will be able to install applications on BlackBerry smartphones with a click of a button, automatically send SMS and email messages to the device under test and intuitively compare how their mobile web pages are displayed on different smatphones. The service is compatible with the latest BlackBerry smartphones, including the BlackBerry® Pearl™ Flip and the BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphones.
The Perfecto Mobile service will be initially offered in the US and the UK and will operate in conjunction with all the major mobile networks in these countries.
Attendees of the BlackBerry Developer Conference who sign up for the service at the event will receive unlimited free access to the service for an initial period.
"We are very excited about the launch of the Perfecto Mobile service for BlackBerry developers at the BlackBerry Developer Conference,” says Eran Yaniv, CEO of Perfecto Mobile. “By enabling access to the latest BlackBerry smartphones and by eliminating the costs and logistical barriers of developers having to source devices, our service will drive developers to ensure that their product or service works well on more BlackBerry smartphones and on the target mobile networks. This will result in better overall quality and in shorter time to market for the introduction of an ever growing portfolio of BlackBerry applications.”
“Our goal,” adds Yaniv, “is to find more and more ways we can help developers and testers improve the product life cycle process by providing automated solutions that improve their efficiency and productivity.”
