HTC’s Handsets Dominate the Android Segment 

HTC’s Android handsets dominate the Android segment on Perfecto Mobile's Handset Cloud on November 2010, bringing 4 handsets to the top ten: Hero, Legend, Nexus and Evo 4G. Motorola's cooperation with Verizon is a proven success also, with Motorola Droid and Motorola Droid 2 coming to the top ten.
The iPhone 3GS with OS4 is also gaining in popularity as developers check their apps work on the latest OS from Apple. RIM continues to dominate the top with the BlackBerry 9000 and 9700 both in the top three. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is not in the top list but gaining traction and may well make the top list for December.

Platforms

When looking on platforms, Android devices continue to leap ahead, from %39 at the beginning of Q3 they raised in October to %41 and leapt to %46 in November. If this trend continues will see them pass the 50% milestone in the near future. 
BlackBerry continues to have very popular devices but overall usage in the December declined to 22% from 26% in November. Symbian OS declined by 5% as well; however the new N8 device may yet make a dent in the December figures.Apple's usage increased a bit, the introduction of the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS with OS 4 is expected to increase usage in December.
